Evan Ryan is an accomplished industrial designer based in New York City. Most recently he has done work for Benebone, a startup dog toy company and Quirky, a social product development company. He previously worked as an in-house designer at the Pactiv Corporation in Chicago, designing thermoformed and injection-molded packaging for the food industry. His work there included designs for national clients, including hinged bowls for Pizza Hut’s Wingstreet brand, a new hot cup lid for Starbucks, and fountain cups for McDonald’s. He received an award from Pizza Hut for redefining their Wingstreet brand through product design. A Chicago-area native, he holds a B.F.A. in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
In his spare time, Evan is an avid photographer, and he collects and uses vintage cameras. He’s always working on a few hairbrained projects at home, and looking for new ideas and inspiration. Check out some of his photos here.
